Prepare your driveway for dumpster delivery.
A clear driveway helps the driver place and retrieve the bin without delays. Walk the route from the street to the proposed drop point before delivery day.
Move vehicles and movable obstacles
Clear cars, trailers, basketball nets, garbage carts and loose materials from the approach. Make sure a neighbour or visitor cannot block the truck during the delivery window.
Look up, not only down
Check for overhead wires, low branches, eaves and signs. A truck placing a roll-off bin needs vertical operating room as well as ground space.
Describe the surface
Tell the provider about fresh or soft asphalt, interlocking pavers, cracked concrete, slopes or drainage features. Placement boards may help distribute contact pressure in some situations, but they do not eliminate all risk.
Plan for the pickup too
The access route must stay open when the full bin is collected. Do not build materials, park equipment or schedule another delivery in the truck path.
Planning a Mississauga bin rental?
Describe the project, material, placement and timing when you call. That produces a more useful recommendation than choosing a container from one photo.
